Generation of computer

1.First Generation (1940-1956) 

The Computers of this generation used Vacuum tube as the basic Component for memory & Circuitry for Central processing unit.

2.Second Generation (1956-1963) 

These Computer used Semiconductor transistor instead of Vaccum tube which were cheaper. Consumed less power more Compact in Size more reliable & faster than the Vaccum tubes.

3.Third Generation 

The third generation Computer used Integrated Circuits Keyboard,were used as an input device and monitor & printer were used as Output device.

4.Fourth Generation 

Fourth Generation Computer were Very cheap and Very Small in Size. Ex- P.C. (Personal Computer)

5.Fifth Generation (1991 - Present & Beyond) 

The fifth generation machine are based in artificial Intelligent Software with genuine IQ ie. Intelligent Quotient

HOW MANY TYPES OF HISTORY OF COMPUTER?

History of computer is divided into three parts:- Manual era :- In earliers time the device used fo r performing mathematical calculation.  Mechanical Era: The first mechanical Calculator was developed by wilhelm Schickard Blaise Pascal a great mathematician . Electronic Era: First Commercial large Scale digital Computer produced in 1951.charles babbage is the father of computer.
